Job Description:

As the Event Manager at Osaka World USA, you will be a key contributor to our mission of enhancing the sporting experience all around the country. Your role will be pivotal in planning, organizing, and executing field hockey, pickleball, and padel events and promotional activities that capture the essence of the sports and elevate our brand. Your responsibilities will include:

Event Planning and Execution:

• Planning, and executing Osaka’s participation in a wide range of sporting events, including tournaments, promotional events, and experiential marketing initiatives.
• Managing all logistical aspects of events, including budgeting, vendor coordination, logistics, and onsite management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and alignment with brand objectives.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the brand and attract customers during events.
• Creating and managing event-related content and materials, including marketing collateral, press releases, and social media campaigns.
• Identifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities to enhance the visibility and success of events.

Customer Experience:

• Ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all customers and partners.
• Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.

Financial Management:

• Preparing and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring events are cost-effective.
• Identifying revenue-generating opportunities for events.

Post-Event Evaluation:

• Conducting post-event analysis and reporting to measure the success of events, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
• Developing and implementing improvements based on evaluation results.

Inventory Management:

• Maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating restocking orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event planning, promotion, and execution.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively individually, as well as with teams and external partners.
• Creativity and innovation in event concept development.
• Knowledge of inventory control and management practices, including tracking stock levels and optimizing inventory turnover.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• US driver's license.
• Fluent in English. (Dutch, French and/or Spanish are a plus.)
• Willingness to travel all around the United States 30% of the time.
• A passion for field hockey, pickleball, and padel or experience in sports event management is a plus.
• USA citizens or valid USA Work Visa’s strongly preferred

We are looking for an intern specialized in graphic design, photography, video, and digital/web design.
The intern takes initiative and can work independently when necessary.
Thinking outside the box is highly encouraged.

The student will help us with:

• Graphic content for digital & print
• Photography for digital & print
• Creating creative content for our social media channels
• Assisting us on photoshoots (packshots & lifestyle)
• Assisting us with managment of our webshops

Knowing your way around:

• Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects)
• Can work with a camera, or is willing to learn
• Knowledge of HTML & CSS is a plus
